Candice Jay For Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor in 2026

As a veteran, mother, grandmother, and advocate, Candice will put people over politics and protect Oklahoma’s future.

Meet Candice

Candice is a Navy Desert Shield/Storm veteran and lifelong advocate for Oklahoma families. They have fought to defend democracy, protect public education, and stand up against censorship and extremism. Now, they are bringing their proven leadership and commitment to service to the campaign for Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor, where they will work to put people over politics and ensure every voice is heard.

"My life has been rooted in service—first to my country as a U.S. Navy veteran, and now to my neighbors across Oklahoma. From organizing community book discussions that resist censorship, to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with educators, parents, and veterans, and help organize mutual aide, I believe real change begins in our communities. I have seen firsthand the strength, resilience, and compassion of Oklahomans, and it is this deep connection that drives me to ensure every voice is represented at the state level." - Candice Jay

Core Values

Our strength comes from standing together. Whether it’s in our schools, neighborhoods, or across the state, I believe in building bridges, protecting every voice, and ensuring no one is left behind.

As a Navy veteran and community advocate, I believe leadership means serving others first. Every decision I make is guided by the responsibility to uplift and protect the people of Oklahoma.

Oklahomans deserve honesty, accountability, and transparency from their leaders. I will always put people before politics and stand firmly for what is right, even when it’s not easy.

Issues & Platform

Public Education

Oklahoma’s public education system is underfunded, undervalued, and under constant attack from political agendas that put profit and power over our kids’ futures.

Candice is committed to fully funding public schools, supporting our teachers, and keeping education focused on students—not politics or profit.

Respect for Tribal Sovereignty?

Oklahoma’s tribal nations are too often dismissed or undermined by state leaders, weakening trust and silencing Indigenous voices that are vital to our shared future.

Candice believes that honoring tribal sovereignty, building strong partnerships with Indigenous nations, and ensuring their voices are central in decisions that affect our state.

Fair Economy for Working Families

Too many Oklahoma families are working harder than ever while wages stay low, small businesses struggle, and politicians put big corporations ahead of working people.

Candice will fight for a fair economy that defends workers’ rights, strengthens small businesses, and creates good-paying jobs through investment in renewable energy.

Clean and Honest Government

Oklahoma’s government too often prioritizes corporate interests and dark money over the voices of everyday people, while voting rights are under constant attack.

Candice will fight for clean and honest government by protecting voting rights, eliminating dark money influence, and putting the people of Oklahoma first.

Family and Community Values

Current systems inadequately support the foundational needs of families, seniors, and neighborhoods, preventing communities from truly thriving.

Candice will invest in affordable childcare, improve elder care protections, and fund community programs to create a supportive environment for all generations.

Affordable Healthcare

Too many Oklahomans lack access to quality healthcare, leaving rural hospitals, mental health services, and reproductive care under threat while families struggle to get the care they need.

Candice is dedicated to expanding Medicaid, protecting rural hospitals, and ensuring all Oklahomans have access to mental health and reproductive care.

Join Our Movement

As an independent candidate running without accepting corporate money, we need you!

Your support with this campaign is the only way we will be able to reach as many people as needed to successfully put a people first candidate into the lieutenant governor role in 2026!

Activism

If you have been to a state board of education meeting or rally at the Oklahoma state capital in recent months, you have probably already seen Candice actively involved in addressing the issues in their platform in real time. When hosting events, they collect donations of food for local pantries, local grassroots initiatives, and mutual aid networks to multiply their ability to serve Oklahomans - even prior to deciding to run for office!

That's something Candice's opponents cannot say the same for themselves.

Event Spotlight - Veteran's March - Spring 2025

Veteran's rally at the VA hospital organized by Candice Jay on June 6th, 2025. Donations of new socks, hygiene items, and food were collected and distributed by their team. A march followed remarks Candice gave about the need to fully fund the VA and provide real support for our veterans through trauma-informed care and restoring healthcare for all veterans - including trans vets and those in the LGBTQIA+ community.
